The Beach Ride

Come ride with us on great horses, along more than 40 different beaches! You and your horse will gallop, swim, surf and bask in the laid back lifestyle that is Costa Rica. Riders take note – four hours in the sun, with the ocean breeze blowing in your hair, and the ever-present salt spray will make you deliciously tired, and ready for the ice-cold refreshments and delicious dinners that await you.

DAY 1

We spend our first night in the Playa Potrero area, a secluded seaside town less than one hour from the Liberia or Tamarindo Airports..

DAY 2

Next morning we drive to the Tempate valley where you will get to know the crew and your horse. Today’s ride is a combination of beach and inland. We stop for lunch in a local oceanfront restaurant . We will spend approximately three and a half hours in the saddle today. After riding you will be transferred back to your hotel where you can nap, swing in a hammock, walk on the private beach, or swim in the pool.

DAY 3

Today is a rest day or you can enjoy different activities such as  canopy tours, or shopping in Tamarindo, which is a town along one of the many white beaches. There is also scuba diving and snorkeling or even a sunset cruise on a sailboat. Golfing and sportfishing are also options. Please let us know what you would like to do so that we can help you organize it.

DAY 4

After pick up at the hotel we drive to the village of Pinilla where the horses are waiting for us.  On country roads we ride west to the sea and beautiful Playa Avallanas, a great beach for swimming and surfing.  From there we hug the coast south from beach to beach until we reach our hotel in front of the ocean where we can see the sun set over the Pacific.

DAY 5

This day is fabulous! Ocean, spray and relaxation along many beaches of all sizes and colors. You can leisurely stroll or let your horse go, go, go! Bring your swimwear! We will stop for lunch on the beach. We will spend the night in the beautiful Luna Azul, amidst gorgeous surroundings and a lovely view. You will appreciate your hosts’ gourmet cooking after six hours of riding.

DAY 6

Once again we get to enjoy the serenity of Costa Rica's pristine beaches as we ride north crossing rivers and cantering in the spray for miles on end.  Our horses just love to go!    We will end our ride at the Iguanazul where we say farewell to our horses before the get trucked back home for a week in the pasture.
